This is the sound check for my first solo concert this summer at the Olympia Bakery in Kalk Bay, South Africa. The reason I’m wearing a hat, jacket and down vest is because it is cold. And outside it was a near hurricane blowing so hard that the roof was leaking onto me and the piano. But since this was much needed rain after months of drought, everyone was happy. Except perhaps the piano.
